Senior Gas Monitoring Systems Engineer

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of gas monitoring systems within semiconductor manufacturing environments. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in gas detection technologies, integration with FMCS platforms, and safety protocols to drive process excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and test gas detection systems for semiconductor fabs.
- Integrate gas detectors with FMCS and BMS platforms, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure compliance with life safety standards, guaranteeing a safe working environment for employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (I&C, Gas, Chemical) for system commissioning, ensuring smooth handovers and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and maintain gas monitoring infrastructure, resolving complex issues efficiently.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials to support knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Interface with vendors for product selection, installation, and support, fostering strong relationships and driving value-added solutions.
- Commissioning & Start-up activities including System validation and functional testing Coordination with vendors and contractors during installation Post-installation performance verification Documentation of commissioning protocols and punch list resolution
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in instrumentation, electronics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in gas monitoring life safety systems, with a strong focus on semiconductor fab projects.
- Familiarity with leading gas detector brands, such as Dräger, Riken Keiki, and Honeywell.
- Proven expertise in greenfield start-ups and commissioning of gas monitoring systems.
- Experience with cleanroom safety and semiconductor-grade gas systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of hazardous gas handling and safety protocols.
- Experience with SCADA and PLC-based control systems is beneficial.
