Key Team Leader Role

As a seasoned team leader, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting a team of 5-6 members in providing high-quality risk assessments for individual accounts or portfolios.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective teamwork.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of individual accounts or portfolios based on provided information and data.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of exposure data, continually evaluating and enhancing the catastrophe modeling process.
  • Reformat and validate data to ensure model understanding, implementing logical checks where necessary.
  • Manage exposure databases, analyzing completeness and accuracy of information.
  • Support underwriters with queries and provide insights on exposure movement year-over-year.
  • Contribute ideas for process enhancement and improvement.
  • Understand and interpret model results, providing risk-specific observations to underwriters.
Requirements and Expectations:
  • At least 6 years' experience in Cat modelling/Treaty modelling, preferably with insurance/reinsurance background.
  • Exposure to AIR touchstone, SQL, MS Office proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong Excel manipulation and function knowledge at a foundation level required.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Insurance certification/Insurance projects in dissertation (desired).
  • Advanced Excel/VBA programming language skills (desired).
  • Effective team management skills.
