About This Position

The successful candidate will serve as a leader of the Business School, guiding the senior leadership team towards quality, honesty, integrity, transparency, and accountability.

This role demands strategic planning, designing, and executing diverse portfolios of long-term academic programs, research initiatives, consultancy projects, Faculty Development Programs, and Management Development Programs within the realm of Management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to values of quality, honesty, integrity, transparency, and accountability.
  • Uphold and promote a culture of ethical conduct and excellence throughout the Business School.
  • Prepare a Strategic Plan for the next three to five years and yearly plans.
  • Plan, design, and oversee the execution of long-term academic programs ensuring alignment with industry standards and emerging trends.
  • Drive development of Faculty Development Programs and Management Development Programs.
  • Teach at least one or two courses to lead from the front.
  • Increase use of cutting-edge technology to drive business and deliver blended learning programs, online courses, and efficient services.
  • Continuously improve existing standards in all operations of the School.
  • Foster a robust research culture within the Business School.
  • Oversee planning and execution of consultancy projects contributing to academic and industry advancements.
  • Effectively manage a large pool of highly qualified and experienced faculty and staff.
  • Facilitate continuous professional development to ensure high standard of expertise within the Business School.
  • Be a visionary leader providing strategic direction for comprehensive growth of the Business School.
  • Direct efforts towards enhancing value and reputation of Gitam University.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively engage with industry leaders, alumni, and academic community to strengthen partnerships and opportunities.
  • Elevate reputation of Gitam University through achievements and contributions of the Business School.
  • Promote university's values and accomplishments on national and international scale.
  • Spearhead process of accreditation to Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), USA, NBA, and NAAC.
  • Compliance with requirements of All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC).
