IT Asset Manager Position

Our organization seeks an experienced IT Asset Manager to lead our IT Asset Management (ITAM) team.

  • Design and implement end-to-end ITAM processes for hardware and software assets, enhancing the overall IT asset management strategy.
  • Lead the Software Asset Management (SAM) lifecycle, including license management, compliance audits, procurement, renewals, and optimization, ensuring optimal use of software resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost optimization and compliance, leveraging business insights to drive informed decisions.
  • Perform software discovery, reconciliation, and compliance checks across multiple publishers, verifying accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic inputs for vendor negotiations and contract renewals, fostering strong relationships with key partners.
  • Drive process improvements and automation within ITAM/SAM practice, utilizing technology to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, upholding the highest standards of governance.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor ITAM/SAM performance and governance, providing actionable insights for stakeholders.
Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Experience in ITAM and SAM tools such as ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow, and Ivanti, maximizing tool utilization and minimizing waste.
  • Solid understanding of license models, including perpetual, subscription, cloud/SaaS, BYOL, and enterprise agreements, ensuring effective license management.
  • Hands-on experience in software license optimization, audits, and compliance management, promoting a culture of compliance.
  • Ability to manage hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, inventory, disposal, and refresh, streamlining hardware management.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly ITAM/SAM, CMDB, Incident, Change, and Procurement, applying best practices in IT service management.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in Excel, Power BI, or ServiceNow reports, delivering data-driven insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
