Job Title: Email Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for building high-performing email campaigns, managing the technical backbone that supports them, and ensuring the seamless integration of email into multi-channel campaigns.

About the Role
  • Build and execute email campaigns via Mailchimp, Mailerlite, or similar platforms
  • Create automated journeys and sequences (e.g. onboarding series, re-engagement flows, pledge follow-ups)
  • Draft and edit subject lines, preview text, and body copy in collaboration with content leads
  • Test, monitor, and continuously optimize campaigns for better open, click, and conversion rates

Responsibilities:

Email Campaign Management
  1. Design and build high-performing email campaigns that engage our growing community
  2. Set up automated journeys and sequences to nurture our audience and drive conversions
  3. Collaborate with content leads to draft and edit engaging subject lines, preview text, and body copy
  4. Test and optimize campaigns for improved open, click, and conversion rates
Audience Segmentation & Analytics
  1. Segment lists by interest, behavior, and engagement to ensure targeted outreach
  2. Maintain clean, updated supporter databases
  3. Track and report campaign performance using platform dashboards, Google Analytics, and UTM parameters
  4. Translate data insights into recommendations for improved engagement

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in email marketing or CRM communications, preferably in nonprofits or campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience in website management, SEO optimization, and Google Workspace administration
  • Proficiency with Mailchimp, Mailerlite, ConvertKit, or similar tools
  • Strong grasp of segmentation, automation, analytics, and deliverability best practices
  • Ability to draft clear, compelling copy in collaboration with content creators
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and UTM tracking for conversions
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and data privacy regulations
