We are seeking a skilled Kafka Cluster Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale Kafka clusters across on-premises and cloud environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage complex Kafka cluster topologies to meet business requirements.
  • Configure and maintain Kafka brokers, topics, ACLs, schema registry, connectors, and control center.
  • Develop and implement automated deployment scripts using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Maintain high availability, security, scalability, and fault tolerance of Kafka clusters.
  • Monitor performance metrics, collect data, and optimize configurations to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Collaborate with developers to provide expert-level Kafka support and guidance.
  • Document processes, best practices, and knowledge base articles to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding new team members.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in Kafka and related ecosystems.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Kafka administration, with at least 2.5 years dedicated to Kafka Administration (mandatory).
  • Hands-on experience with Confluent and AWS MSK Kafka distributions.
  • Expertise in Big Data & Hadoop Ecosystem, Apache Spark, and Linux/Unix Systems & Windows Server.
  • Familiarity with Shell/Python scripting, automation tools (Ansible, Terraform), CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace).
  • Strong understanding of Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) and ability to work with version control systems.
  • Good communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and document technical processes.

  • Experience with IBM MQ / RabbitMQ.
