Merchant Acquiring Risk Professional

Role: Merchant Acquiring Risk Specialist

Grade: M4/M5

Location: Mumbai

  • Review transactions processed at acquired merchants via all channels like UPI, POS, Payment Gateway
  • Monitor merchant behavior to detect and prevent fraudulent activities
  • Examine and verify documents received from merchants in case of escalations or fraud observed
  • Communicate with stakeholders on fraud patterns and observations
  • Inform rule creation for merchant monitoring based on observed patterns
  • Stay updated on industry fraud trends and MOs to prevent merchant fraud
  • Collaborate with teams to gather necessary data
  • Prepare and submit MIS reports to stakeholders
  • Drive discussions with stakeholders on new requirements and enhanced surveillance

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in fraud analysis and risk management
  • Good understanding of merchant acquiring, payment aggregator business, UPI fraud prevention
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel - filters, pivot tables, charts, lookup functions
  • Coding skills in SQL are a plus
  • Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics is preferred
