Senior SCADA Systems Engineer

About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SCADA Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

  • Lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications.
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems PLC, SCADA, MES with enterprise IT systems ERP databases cloud.
  • Develop and maintain secure efficient data exchange using REST APIs MQTT OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases SQL historian timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 40 smart manufacturing predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot optimize and support existing SCADAMES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in MES functions production tracking OEE downtime analysis traceability SPC etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OTIT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems PLC SCADA HMIs plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95 ISA88 ISA99 IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem solving communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms Azure IoT AWS IoT etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization Docker Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 40 projects.
  • Certifications Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial ITOT certifications.
