Key Responsibilities:

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless scaling of machine learning products and credit risk policy.

This entails guaranteeing that APIs operate smoothly at scale, identifying ways to ensure simplified and low-risk customer journeys.

We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, proficient in cloud-based tools/packaging for automation and encryption, and APIs.

About the Team:

You will be part of a high-performing team within the Digital Banking Unit.

You will work in a fast-paced environment where new ideas are encouraged.

This will involve collaborating with teams across Digital and those within the bank, such as data engineers, data scientists, product managers, and senior business and credit risk stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of overall industry experience, with at least 3-4 years in Machine Learning (ML)/MLOps or Business Rule Engine (BRE) implementation.

Technical Expertise:

  • Machine Learning/MLOps System Design: Proven experience in end-to-end ML/MLOps system architecture including model/BRE implementation, debugging, and production maintenance.
  • Programming & Data Tools: Proficient in Python, PySpark, NumPy, Pandas, SQL, and Linux. Good to have Koalas and Dask.
  • Cloud & Big Data: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services including Azure Databricks, Spark, Data Warehousing, and pipeline orchestration.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Skilled in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline setup and management, including automated model deployment.
  • API Development: Experience with FastAPI/Flask for building scalable ML models APIs.

Domain Knowledge:

  • Exposure to credit risk modeling and financial services is a strong plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

  • Building customer-centric products with human-centered design principles for retail individual and micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) customer segments.
  • Develop innovative products and propositions backed by problem-solving mindsets to discover and solve latent needs of customers.
  • Build Embedded Finance (Banking as a Service) applications.
  • Ensure designs are highly available, highly modular, highly scalable, and highly secure.
  • Drive digital business growth.

The unit's objectives are three-fold – drive better customer experience and engagement, transform existing lines of businesses, and build new digital-only or banking as a service-led digital business models.
