
Health Safety and Environmental Quality Lead

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for championing health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the HSEQ function to strengthen our food safety culture and ensure our operations meet the highest standards by implementing effective risk management strategies and conducting regular audits.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to understand their expectations and calibrate our processes accordingly, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the organization.
- Leveraging strong partnerships with culinary, and procurement teams to execute company standards and exceed client expectations, ultimately enhancing the user experience by delivering high-quality services.
Accountabilities:
- Reporting to the Director of Operations (India), working as a key member of the country leadership team to ensure all aspects of HSEQ and Governance are managed across all aspects of the Food program and its values.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders to drive key business outcomes, governance initiatives, and enterprise risk management initiatives across the business, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring that our HSEQ strategy is understood and consistently followed at all our sites in India, promoting a culture of compliance and excellence.
- Designing and implementing a robust structure for risk assessment and compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Driving continuous improvement in our HSEQ bronze audit scores by identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions, resulting in improved performance and reduced risks.
- Overseeing and ensuring the effective delivery of all HSEQ training across our sites in India, empowering employees with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles.
- Gaining a deep understanding of our client's HSEQ requirements and expectations and implementing improvement plans as needed, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations.
- Conducting critical risk assessments during the pre-mobilization phase of new sites, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impacts.
- Taking full accountability for all client issues and escalations related to HSEQ performance, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Defining clear performance standards for your team, aligning them with regional HSEQ delivery metrics and ensuring consistent application of HSEQ principles.
- Identifying and addressing the development needs of your direct reports through internal and external training and certifications, investing in employee growth and development.
- Cultivating our talent pipeline through effective coaching and aspiration management, attracting and retaining top talent in the industry.
- Identifying best practices within the industry and implementing them within our operations, driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of HSEQ.
Requirements:
- Relevant Academics: Post Graduate degree in food science & technology or a related field.
- Proven Leadership: 12+ years of progressive experience in a senior leadership role, preferably with experience in food safety management implementation.
- Behavioral Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, highly energetic with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, possessing a keen eye for detail and strategic thinking.
