Internal Auditors play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within an organization. In this pivotal position as Assistant Manager Internal Audit, you will be responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying potential risks, and recommending measures to mitigate them.

The primary focus of this role involves conducting concurrent audits of key operations, including Home Loan products, loan disbursements, and other related activities. Your keen eye for detail and analytical skills will enable you to identify any deviations or irregularities from established procedures or regulatory requirements.

A successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory guidelines applicable to the housing finance sector. You will also have effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare clear and concise audit reports and present findings to various stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough audits of operational processes to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies
  • Reviewing loan portfolios, including loan applications, agreements, collateral valuation, and documentation to verify adherence to regulatory guidelines and best practices
  • Assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and making recommendations for improvements to enhance operational efficiency and risk management
  • Preparing comprehensive audit reports, including findings, observations, and recommendations, for presentation to senior management and relevant stakeholders

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (LLB/ CA- Inter/MBA preferred)
  • Proven experience as an Auditor, preferably in the Housing Finance sector, with a focus on concurrent auditing
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory guidelines applicable to the housing finance industry
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and internal control systems
