We are seeking an experienced Financial Director for Strategic Growth to join our team at Wayvida, a cutting-edge EdTech startup. As a key member of our executive leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our financial strategy and ensuring sound financial stewardship.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Director with 10+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a high-growth company or startup. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with our goals, managing financial risk, optimizing capital structure, and ensuring sufficient liquidity.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support our growth objectives, create long-term financial models, and manage financial risk.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting process, monitor budget performance, and provide accurate forecasts to support decision-making.
  3. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements, lead the preparation of reports for stakeholders, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  4. Accounting and Financial Operations: Manage the company's accounting functions, implement internal financial controls, and optimize accounting systems.
  5. Investor Relations and Fundraising: Collaborate with our CEO to manage investor relationships, develop financial presentations, and negotiate terms for equity or debt financing.
  6. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance productivity and professional growth, work closely with other department heads, and foster a collaborative environment.
  7. Business Insights and Performance Monitoring: Leverage financial data analytics to identify growth opportunities, monitor KPIs, and drive initiatives to improve performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA, CFA, or MBA in Finance is preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel.
  • In-Depth Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong leadership and team-building capabilities, outstanding communication and presentation skills.
