Job Title: Polymer Technical Expert

This is a pivotal role that bridges market needs with internal functions, driving customer solutions and supporting sales through comprehensive technical support across Coating, Packaging, Carpet, and Adhesive segments within the Polymer business.

About the Role:

The Polymer Technical Expert will be responsible for delivering technical services and formulation support for targeted segments to meet customer needs. This includes developing and adapting formulations for local market requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical services and formulation support to customers.
  • Develop and adapt formulations for local markets.
  • Conduct technical training for customers and internal teams.
  • Perform competitive analysis and recommend strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory and internal standards.
  • Manage lab operations efficiently.
  • Support customer complaint resolution and application troubleshooting.
  • Maintain lab equipment and calibrate instruments.
  • Participate in field trials and on-site customer visits.

Requirements:

  • Possess an MSc or Bachelor of Engineering or Master's of Engineering in Chemistry.
  • Hold at least 8 years of formulation experience in Polymer dispersions/coatings.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of polymer science and standard test methods.
  • Exhibit deep knowledge of core markets, competitors, and emulsion polymer technology.
