Business Analyst Job Description

A key role in our organization is that of a Business Analyst. This professional is responsible for ensuring that the IT solution provided meets the needs of the business and its stakeholders.

The primary responsibility of a Business Analyst is to deliver functional design for projects and change requests under the guidance of key stakeholders. He or she creates functional specifications, guides the build team from an application development perspective, tests, and accepts the solution.

Responsibilities include driving clarification of complex and analytical requirements from a technical solution design perspective, delivering effort estimates for those solutions, leveraging knowledge artifacts, and senior stakeholder support to ensure appropriate solution delivery.

The ideal candidate should have SAP S/4 HANA IS OIL Downstream knowledge and skills focused on transportation and distribution, standard SD, TAS & TPI relevancy, shipments (costing), work on complex interfaces, contracts (customer/vendor)/quotes/pricing, quantity conversions, hydrocarbon product management, exchanges/netting/logical inventory adjustment, TSW ticketing/nominations, excise duty, stock reconciliation/valuation, and logistics invoice verification and workflow.

In addition to these technical skills, the successful candidate will be organized and methodical with an ability to plan and implement according to plan while coping with uncertainty and risk.

A Business Analyst must also have excellent spoken and written language skills in English and experience working in virtual teams as well as being a fast learner and having minimal hand holding required.
