Real Estate Financial Modeling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced financial modeling professional to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models for real estate clients, including operating and non-operating cash flow modelling, levered and debt cash flow, JV & waterfall analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in investment banking or commercial real estate valuation. They should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models for real estate clients, including operating and non-operating cash flow modelling.
  • Build and audit financial models for multifamily, office, industrial, and retail assets classes.
  • Design and implement Argus valuation models, lease abstracting, lease review, and audit.
  • Perform valuations for commercial real estate properties using income capitalization approach, sales comparison approach, and cost approach.
  • Model REIT income statements and balance sheets, understand revolver, interest expense, and circularity.
  • Prepare pitch books, information memorandums, industry studies, company profiles, and discussion documents.
  • Conduct M&A deal run, target and buyer screenings using databases like Greenstreet, RCA, Argus, Costar, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Mergermarket, and FactSet.

Requirements:

  • Post-Graduation in Finance or equivalent qualification (CFA, MBA, CA). Minimum 2-5 years of experience in investment banking or commercial real estate valuation.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills, ability to work independently and manage / lead research projects.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with experience in client handling.
  • Working knowledge of databases like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson Research, FactSet, and MS Office suite.
