We are seeking a senior high performance computing professional to join our team.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced engineer to work with our data science group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux/Unix system administration and be proficient in job scheduling and resource management tools such as SLURM, PBS, and LSF. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and containerization technologies is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure to support high-performance computing environments for data science.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to deploy scalable models into production.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of high-performance computing systems in the cloud.
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost-effective and efficient use.

Technical Requirements:

  • Expertise in Linux/Unix system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Proficiency in job scheduling and resource management tools (SLURM, PBS, LSF).
  • Good understanding of parallel computing, MPI, OpenMP, and GPU acceleration (CUDA, ROCm).
  • Knowledge of storage architectures and distributed file systems (Lustre, GPFS, Ceph).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Singularity, Docker) and cloud-based HPC solutions.
Desirable Skills:
  • Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) for system provisioning and maintenance.
  • Understanding of networking protocols, high-speed interconnects, and security best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud architecture.

Education and Certifications:
