Senior Design Engineer Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Design Engineer to contribute to our high-performance design team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in physical design and be proficient in leading complex designs from RTL-to-GDSII.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive critical CPU units to convergence, overseeing the synthesis, floor-planning, place and route, timing closure, and signoff processes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on performance, power, and area (PPA) tradeoffs for design closure, utilizing an understanding of micro-architecture.
  • Develop and refine physical design methodologies and customize recipes across various implementation steps to optimize PPA.
  • Implement floor plans, synthesis, placement, CTS, Timing Closure, Routing, Extraction, Physical Verification (DRC & LVS), EM/IR, and signoff.
  • Work with diverse PNR tools - Synopsys fusion compiler, Cadence, PrimeTime, StarRC, Calibre, Apache Redhawk.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 12+ years of professional experience in physical design, preferably with high-performance designs.
  • Proven track record of closing high-performance IPs- CPU/GPU/DPU/memory controller, etc.
  • Strong expertise with logic synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and design checks for physical and electrical quality; familiarity with schematics, layout, and circuit/logic simulation tools.
  • Versatility with scripts to automate design flow - Perl/Tcl/Python.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask across projects, and collaborate with geographically spread out teams.
  • Experience in advanced sub 7nm nodes.
  • Pronounced attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of computer architecture is preferred.
