Travel Consultant

As a seasoned travel professional, you will play a vital role in elevating the travel experience of our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as a liaison between our company and its current and potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookings for domestic and international flights, rail, and other travel arrangements.
  • Provide expert information on products and services, including visa requirements, foreign exchange, health regulations, and insurance options.
  • Handle refund and cancellation requests for domestic and international air tickets with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with airlines for the issuance of tickets, ensuring the use of deal codes and bonus miles where applicable.
  • Follow established communication scripts when addressing various topics with clarity and precision.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve queries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with follow-up invoicing and recoveries, ensuring seamless financial transactions.
  • Identify customer needs, research every issue, and provide solutions or alternatives, along with relevant information and resources.
  • Build long-term relationships by going above and beyond to meet customer expectations.

Competencies:

  • Effective communication skills and active listening.
  • Strong knowledge of computer reservation systems (CRS) and global distribution systems (GDS).
  • Ability to interact, communicate, and negotiate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Sound understanding of domestic and international travel trends and regulations.
  • Passionate interest in geography and strong knowledge of domestic and international travel.
  • Attention to detail and ability to assimilate information accurately.

Educational Qualification:

  • A graduate degree with a Diploma in Travel and Tourism is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a travel management company.
