We are seeking a seasoned Team Leader to oversee analysts supporting Commercial Real Estate Lending operations. This role will manage day-to-day delivery, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and lead client stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management & Delivery
- Lead and mentor analysts processing loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management.
- Ensure delivery in line with SLAs/KPIs with high accuracy.
- Track, review, and report team performance; conduct regular feedback and coaching.
Operational Excellence
- Enforce adherence to lending policy, standards, and criteria.
- Review and approve credit papers/documentation prior to submission.
- Support the use of front-end systems to monitor loan applications through approval.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the single point of contact for client stakeholders.
- Manage escalations, provide operational updates, and lead process alignment discussions.
- Facilitate transparent communication between teams.
Compliance & Risk
- Oversee collaboration with KYC and Financial Crime teams for onboarding/fraud cases.
- Ensure compliance with UK banking regulations and client-specific policies.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Prepare and present performance reports and insights for leadership.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services.
- Proven experience in leading teams and working with international clients.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of CRE lending and compliance.
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficient in banking systems and MS Office tools.
