System Administrator Role Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of systems, hardware, tools, and services. You will monitor uptime, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with DevOps teams to resolve recurring problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor system health, performance, and uptime across development and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot local and remote issues across OS, software, network, and cloud systems.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to resolve recurring issues.
Infrastructure, Security & Automation:
  • Configure machines, access controls, and user permissions for new and existing team members.
  • Assist in secure practices such as system hardening, OS patching, and routine compliance audits.
  • CI/CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure improvements and documentation.
Hardware, Tools & Vendor Management:
  • Coordinate hardware procurement: sourcing laptops, peripherals, and licenses as per project needs.
  • Work with vendors for equipment purchases, service warranties, and support escalations.
  • Track inventory, machine handovers, and replacement cycles using internal systems.
Team Enablement & Documentation:
  • Act as a first point of contact for internal TechOps requests.
  • Maintain internal documentation, runbooks, and asset registers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, and Engineering to ensure smooth operational workflows.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
  • 1+ years of experience in TechOps, IT Support, Infrastructure, or DevOps assistance.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/macOS systems, basic networking, and cloud services (AWS/GCP).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools and remote access tools.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools, Git, basic scripting, or task automation.
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and communication skills — especially with remote teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to juggle multiple requests and maintain system hygiene and documentation.
