Job Title: Lead Oracle Database Administrator

A high-level role oversees database migration across various platforms, including Data Center and cloud environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end migration lifecycle, ensuring successful migrations with minimal downtime and seamless delivery.
  • Define and drive migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices to ensure zero/near-zero downtime and high availability.
  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations across various platforms, including Data Center-to-Data Center, AWS-to-AWS cloud setups, Azure-to-Azure cloud setups, and Oracle Exadata environments.
  • Perform end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN.
  • Implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.
  • Use Oracle Enterprise Manager for database performance monitoring, health checks, and proactive alerting.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) implementation and management.
  • Rubrik for backup, restore, and DR integration, RMAN for backup/recovery, delta sync, cloning, and duplication, and OEM for monitoring and migration validation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure.
