Design Lead – Rail Signalling Systems

Job Overview
">- Leading a team of engineers to develop and implement modernised digital and automated railway signalling systems.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Design to oversee the design and engineering support for our railway axle counter solutions. The successful candidate will lead a team of experts in developing and implementing innovative signalling systems.
">The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of fail-safe signalling product design (HW/SW) and embedded systems, as well as hands-on understanding of EN, IEC, IS standards and railway signalling & interlocking concepts.
">Key Responsibilities">- To provide design and engineering support for railway axle counter solutions, ensuring compliance with safety, signalling standards, and RAMS requirements.
- To lead V&V activities including First Time Right checks to ensure quality and fail-safe product performance.
- To liaise with RDSO and SAG & above level railway officers to address design, compliance, and product approval requirements.
- To conduct root cause analysis of product failures, propose corrective actions, and drive engineering improvements.
- To manage engineering documentation, design reports, and ensure compliance with EN, IEC, IS standards.
- Education/Experience: B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication (ECE) or related discipline with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Railway Signalling domain.
- Strong technical knowledge of fail-safe signalling product design (HW/SW) and embedded systems.
- Hands-on understanding of EN, IEC, IS standards and railway signalling & interlocking concepts.
- Expertise in RAMS methodologies including MTBF, RBD, FTA, and reliability calculations.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all levels.
