**Structural Designer Position Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Structural Designer to join our team. As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for producing 3D models that meet industry guidelines and standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery software. They will also possess up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software.

A strong understanding of how a building comes together is essential for this role. The ability to think in 3-D and draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer is also crucial.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce 3D models consistent with instruction, industry guidelines, and KP&J A&E standards and practices.
  • Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings in conformance to KP&J standards and practices.
  • Manage the BIM workflow including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.
  • Maintain structural BIM / CAD files for use in the structural design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).
  • Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.
Requirements
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software
  • Strong understanding of how a building comes together
  • Ability to think in 3-D
  • Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer
  • Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills
  • BA in Civil Engineering or related field
