Job Overview

As a highly skilled Backend Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, building and optimizing APIs, microservices and integrations. Your expertise in Node.js, Express and backend services will enable the team to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and optimize scalable, high-performance services using Node.js and Express.
  • Own and drive backend architecture and development, collaborating with front-end developers to define interfaces and data contracts.
  • Work closely with the database team to ensure optimal data modeling, schema design and performance tuning.
  • Ensure code quality through thorough testing, code reviews, best practices and comprehensive documentation.
  • Handle deployment, infrastructure and operations on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.), ensuring high availability, security, logging and scalability.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

  • Backend: Deep expertise in Node.js and Express, with experience in building and maintaining backend services in production.
  • Database: Strong experience with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, querying, scaling and performance optimisation.
  • Frontend Collaboration: Comfortable working with front end technologies, understanding of how backend & frontend interact.
  • Cloud / Deployment: Strong experience in AWS, setting up environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring, security.
  • Architecture & Scaling: Experience with microservices, distributed systems, handling high traffic and fault tolerance.
