Senior Architect - Distributed Systems

We're seeking a seasoned architect to design and build scalable, reliable distributed systems that form the backbone of our platform. You will drive best practices in system design and lead by example with exemplary code.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve architectural excellence through sound system design, robust coding practices, and collaborative leadership. Deliver high-quality solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the team, driving continuous improvement in system design, coding practices, and engineering culture.
  • Cultivate a strong bias for action, embracing challenges, and navigating complexities in distributed computing, large-scale data processing, and overall system architecture.
  • Solve complex problems through a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, leveraging expertise in backend development, system architecture, data modeling, API design, and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of designing and building complex, large-scale distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in backend development, including system architecture, data modeling, API design, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++); experience with TypeScript is a plus.
  • Experience with modern cloud and data infrastructure is essential (e.g., Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, Postgres).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
