Job Overview

As a seasoned expert in cloud infrastructure deployments, we are seeking an individual with extensive experience in architecting and designing data center and cloud infrastructures using VMware and Microsoft technologies.

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience on Azure VMware Solution and 5 years of experience on VMware vSphere Azure cloud services deployments and cloud migrations.
Job Description

The Technical Lead will partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan, architect, and guide complex infrastructure deployments and migrations for large enterprise customers moving from on-premises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution.

  • Responsibilities include working directly with customer application infrastructure and security stakeholders to define requirements, strategy, and processes for successful design, deployment, and migration.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest on Azure AVS and VMware products to propose designs to customers and act as subject matter trainer for other specialists.
  • Share knowledge with others through solution documents, engage technical communities, build automated self-help solutions, and create training.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications: BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or technology-focused discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Relevant experience in architecting and designing data center and cloud infrastructures using VMware and Microsoft technologies.
  • Knowledge and implementation experience designing and developing solutions using VMware's Core Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Required skills and qualifications include Azure VMware Solution, VMware vSphere 6.0 and above, VMware NSX network virtualization technologies, NSX edge services DNS DHCP Gateway Firewall Distributed Firewall, NSX implementation, NSX migration from VLAN or NSXv, VMware vSAN, VMware HCX Advanced Enterprise, and preferred skills such as VMware Site Recovery Manager vSphere Replication, VMware management suite vCD vROps vRNI vRLI, and VMware Cloud Director.

Desired Qualifications: Experience working with enterprise customers on Azure-specific solutions and deployment, ability to communicate effectively with corporate customers, possess an understanding of the onboarding process, and demonstrate a vision for the future.

  • Excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving critical and politically charged customer situations to lead projects and motivate others.
