Backend Developer

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Python-based applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MongoDB, Redis, FAST API, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate React-based frontends and backend services.

The successful candidate will also work with data platforms including Impala for high-performance querying and Autosys for job scheduling.

They will ensure code quality, performance, and security standards across all development efforts.

Mentorship and management skills are essential, as the candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 10–15 developers and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Achieving agile development practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) is crucial.

Liaising with stakeholders from banking operations, risk, and compliance to align technical solutions with business needs is necessary.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable Python-based applications
  • Architecting and implementing solutions using MongoDB, Redis, FAST API, and containerization tools
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate React-based frontends and backend services
  • Working with data platforms including Impala for high-performance querying and Autosys for job scheduling
  • Mentoring and managing a team of 10–15 developers
  • Driving agile development practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)

Requirements:

  • 15+yrs of total experience with at least 10+ years hands-on experience in advanced Python development and design patterns
  • Strong experience in MongoDB, Redis, FAST API, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of React Framework and frontend-backend integration
  • Familiarity with Impala, Autosys, and distributed systems
  • Proven leadership in managing mid-sized engineering teams (10–15 members)
  • Prior experience in the banking or financial services domain is mandatory
