Job Overview

The role of Maintenance Supervisor is crucial to the smooth operation of our facilities. The incumbent will oversee the Maintenance Department and manage engineering, electrical, and civil maintenance activities.

This position requires strong leadership skills to supervise a small team of maintenance technicians and ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality standards.

The areas of focus are:

  • Preventive maintenance planning and execution
  • Supervision of electrical, mechanical, and firefighting equipment maintenance
  • Vendor performance monitoring and maintenance material management
  • Compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment efficiency
  2. Supervise maintenance activities for electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment
  3. Manage spare part planning, monitoring, and technical confirmation
  4. Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
  5. Collaborate with the Operations Department to resolve technical issues and improve maintenance practices

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline or certifications in Maintenance Management/Facilities Management is an asset

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment maintenance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to plan and manage preventive maintenance and repair activities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and complex written information
