Job Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled finance professional to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive financial strategy, advising senior leadership on financial planning and risk management, and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice to senior leadership on financial planning, capital allocation, and risk management.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, industry trends, and economic conditions to inform strategic decision-making.


Financial Management:

  • Oversee the effective operation of accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls and accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.


Fundraising and Investor Relations:

  • Lead fundraising efforts to secure equity and debt funding in line with business targets.
  • Manage relationships with existing investors and lead initiatives to attract new investment.
  • Represent the organization as a spokesperson, engaging with media, news outlets, and investors to update on progress and performance.


Banking and Treasury Management:

  • Negotiate and manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and loan agreements.
  • Optimize working capital and cash flow management to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Implement effective treasury operations, hedging strategies, and liquidity planning to mitigate financial risks.


Audit and Compliance:

  • Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits to ensure compliance and zero non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to identify process improvements.
  • Establish and monitor internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.


Taxation and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of direct and indirect taxes.
  • Optimize tax strategies to minimize liabilities while remaining compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.


Investments and Capital Management:

  • Evaluate investment opportunities for ROI and strategic alignment.
  • Manage portfolio investments, acquisitions, and divestitures to optimize returns.
  • Develop long-term capital and funding strategies to support business growth.


Leadership and Development:

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance and accounts teams.
  • Promote a culture of financial discipline and operational excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement through training, automation, and process optimization.
