Job Title: Senior Manager

The primary function of a senior manager in taxation involves ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and Authorize Direct/Indirect Taxes
    • Ensure accuracy in Security Transaction Tax notes and income tax calculations for companies, verifying totals and liabilities to ensure compliance.
  • Filing of Tax Returns and Certificates
    • Prepare and submit tax returns and certificates for TDS/service tax/STT, validating totals and liabilities to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct Tax and VAT Audits
    • Perform thorough audits of tax and VAT assessments, preparing income computation reports and addressing auditors' queries for validation.
  • Manage Tax Assessments and Litigations
    • Oversee tax assessments and litigations, resolving critical issues and providing expert guidance to colleagues.

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with consultants and auditors.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience in taxation, preferably in senior management roles.
  • Expert knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to handle complex tax-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
