Retail Credit Professional

We are seeking an experienced Retail Credit Manager to join our team. As a Retail Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of mortgage business in an assigned branch/location, reviewing and assessing loan applications within defined guidelines.

• Review and assess complex loan applications, making decisions or recommending approval to higher authorities.
• Underwrite proposals according to company policies and procedures, honouring SLAs and managing business volumes.
• Conduct personal discussions with customers to establish credit worthiness and complete credit/KYC documents.
• Assess income to obligation ratios, loan to value ratios, and maintain portfolio MIS and other operations related MIS.
• Build effective relationships with third parties to achieve best outcomes for clients.
• Take ownership of client queries and use industry knowledge to solve problems.
• Exceed service quality standards and strive for continuous process improvement.
• Critically review credit proposals to identify industry, business, financial, management, and facility structure risks.
• Ensure collateral and credit risk mitigation to facilitate approving authority decisions.
• Enable quick turnaround times for credit lending proposals, working closely with sales teams.
• Ongoingly review credit exposures to ensure bankability.
• Facilitate critical review and documentation of proposals, monitoring client and collateral creditworthiness from pre-sanction to post-disbursement phases.
