Strategic E-commerce Leader

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Strategic E-commerce Leader to drive the growth of our online business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive growth strategies, managing end-to-end inventory, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a holistic e-commerce strategy to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.
  • Manage end-to-end inventory, ensuring timely delivery of products and minimizing stock-outs and ageing stock.
  • Collaborate with R&D to adapt formulations for regional regulations and sensorial preferences.
  • Orchestrate 360° marketing campaigns to maximize returns on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Establish data pipelines and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time.
  • Negotiate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), payment partners, and duty consultants to optimize landed costs and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Recruit, mentor, and performance-manage cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Champion customer obsession by mining voice-of-customer (VOC) insights to inform product updates and customer experience enhancements.
  • Drive strategic partnerships to amplify reach and expand our customer base.
  • Ensure legal and tax compliance, including cosmetics claims and GDPR-like mandates.
  • Present quarterly business reviews to global leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and next bets.

Requirements:

  • Tier 1 college education from institutions such as IIMs, XLRI, MDI, or ISB.
  • 10-17 years of relevant work experience in retail industry (FMCG, Retail, E-commerce).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical, data, and problem-solving skills, with ability to use information for reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and be an effective contributor to the team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Organized with superior time management skills, able to multitask and prioritize under tight schedules.
  • Self-accountability to follow-through with proper consistent updates to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project-based tools such as Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
