Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled geospatial developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions using ESRI ArcGIS Suite, Python, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
  • Analyze user requirements to develop and optimize geospatial workflows and tools.
  • Integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs.
  • Develop scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing.
  • Perform spatial data modeling, geoprocessing, and complex spatial analysis.
  • Maintain and optimize spatial databases.
  • Create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues and enhancements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite.
  • Experience with migrating Geocortex Essentials and custom HTML 5 web applications into ESRI's JavaScript API version 4.
  • Experience working with VertiGIS Studio Suite of tools and ESRI Experience Builder.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or .NET.
  • Experience with spatial databases: PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial.
  • Familiarity with FME, GDAL, or other ETL/data transformation tools.
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs.
  • Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with open-source GIS platforms (QGIS, GeoServer, MapServer).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in GIS.
  • Experience working with cloud GIS platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
