Job Description

As an Associate Director in our Mergers and Acquisitions Strategy Team, you will build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients to exceed client expectations.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with teams and clients to deliver exceptional results.
  • This practice advises corporate groups and private equity funds on strategic issues related to their acquisition, divestiture, and investment decisions.
  • This advice encompasses entry and investment strategy, market and competitive analysis, commercial due diligence/business plan review, partner evaluation, synergy assessment, and business planning.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to analyze industries, companies, and markets to drive unique insights that aid clients' strategic decisions.
  • This is a client-facing role involving interaction with corporate CXOs and investment teams of financial sponsors and asset managers.
  • Collaborate with intellectually stimulating clients to develop tailored solutions.
  • Maintain a client-centric approach, always prioritizing clients' interests and striving to enhance client service with each engagement.
  • Apply healthcare sector expertise to engagements and proposals.
  • Focus on increasing project realization by optimizing efficiency and minimizing inefficiencies.
  • Defend key findings, hypotheses, and views effectively during projects.
  • Take ownership of developing non-project collateral, including point-of-view documents, research/white papers, etc.
  • Promote operational efficiencies in billing and collection.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Total 7+ years of experience in delivering/leading engagements across areas such as growth strategy, GTM strategy, commercial due diligence, target screening, M&A advisory, etc.
  • 4+ years of relevant healthcare experience either in professional services firms delivering CDD/strategy engagements or in the healthcare industry across domains such as hospitals, diagnostics, med-tech, and health-tech companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to run multiple workstreams on engagements and lead a team of 3-4 consultants/executives.
  • Relevant experience working with private equity clients, Indian and global healthcare companies.
  • A post-graduate degree in management from a tier 1 Indian or global business school.
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and analyze financial statements.
  • Ability to work in unstructured environments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in strategy or M&A with a consulting firm would be an added advantage.
  • Focused on delivering high-quality service.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English.
