Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Professional

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the evaluation and transformation of enterprise cloud setups.

  • Must have exceptional skills in cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate current-state GCP setups for networking, security, reliability, and cost, and deliver clear improvement plans.
  2. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across projects using Terraform or similar tools, establishing reusable modules and guardrails.
  3. Design and modify architectures using GCP services such as VPC, subnets, Cloud NAT, Load Balancing, Cloud DNS, IAM, Service Accounts, and Secrets Manager.
  4. Build and run workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and/or Compute Engine, containerising where sensible, and tuning autoscaling.
  5. Configure Cloud SQL, Spanner, Memorystore, and BigQuery as relevant, backup/restore, HA/DR patterns.
  6. Set up Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) with Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or similar, including policy checks and environment promotion.
  7. Implement monitoring and alerting with Cloud Monitoring & Logging, SLOs/error budgets as needed.
  8. Harden security with Security Command Center (SCC), IAM least-privilege, org policies, VPC-SC, and private access.
  9. Optimise costs through rightsizing, committed use/Autopilot, storage lifecycle management, and data egress patterns.
  10. Document runbooks, diagrams, and change notes that clients can trust.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of VPC design, routing/NAT, load balancing, IAM, GKE/containers, and Linux fundamentals.
  • Experience introducing controls such as org policies, folder/project structure, billing budgets/alerts, and SCC.
  • Proven ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and deliver safely in regulated/enterprise contexts.
  • Excellent English oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS familiarity and migration/portability experience.
  • Windows Server + IIS basics (for hybrid client estates), and/or database administration exposure.
  • SRE practices (SLOs, incident response, post-incident review).
  • Certs (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect/DevOps Engineer) are welcome but not required.
