Senior Software Development Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Lead to join our team. As a key member of our technology leadership, you will be responsible for leading the development of applications and solutions that meet client requirements and support Research Informatics activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software development, with experience in large-scale software development and good understanding of different software architecting, design and development methodologies.
You will also have experience in multiple backend languages (Java, Python, C++) and popular frameworks (Django, Flask, Spring, JSF, GWT and JavaScript frameworks including React, Angular, Node.js), as well as databases (MySql, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), web servers (Apache) and UI/UX design elements.
In addition, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate, solid commitment to customer service, expert ability to assess problems and quickly formulate the correct solution, and team leadership experience with proven ability to communicate with key customers and internal stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to set goals, manage individual/team performance, and demonstrate ability to organize people and activities to achieve goals. You will also be able to work with cross-functional teams and possess strong collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:- Lead the development of applications and solutions for client requirements and to support Research Informatics activities.
- Lead the Software Development and Engineering team in the development of new software, web applications, and informatics solutions.
- Oversee implementation and infrastructure initiatives, software updates.
- Actively support the research informatics group in software planning and development.
- Provide thought leadership in technology direction, best practices in development, and coding enterprise-class solutions.
- Responsible for overseeing training, hiring, performance of the software development team.
- Participate in the Research Informatics senior leadership team representing the technology perspective as well as the overarching strategic objectives of the business.
- B. Tech / M. Tech / MS in Computer Science / Engineering / Applications.
