Accounting Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Accounting Manager to spearhead our finance department. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting practices within a manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee daily accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
  • GST Expertise: Serve as the company's subject matter expert on GST-related matters. Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns and manage GST audits or queries.
  • SAP Business One & SQL: Take ownership of the finance module in SAP B1. Utilize advanced SQL skills to develop custom financial reports and work directly with the SAP backend.
  • Closing & Reporting: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Prepare and present accurate financial statements and management reports in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, including TDS, TCS, Provident Fund, ESI, and other requirements under the Companies Act.
  • Audits & Controls: Act as the primary point of contact for statutory and internal auditors. Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the accounting team to foster a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience within a private limited manufacturing company in India.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance. A professional certification (CA / CMA) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency in SAP Business One (SAP B1). Strong proficiency in SQL is mandatory for developing reports and working on the SAP backend.
  • Functional Skills:
  • Deep expertise in Indian GST laws, including filings, compliance, and reconciliations. Comprehensive knowledge of Ind AS and corporate law.
  • Attributes: Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong leadership qualities.
