Lead Development Lifecycle

We're seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our efforts in developing and implementing effective development lifecycle processes.

  • This role involves driving the vision and strategy for engineering excellence, representing the company in front of customers and partners, and coordinating and guiding Canonical's engineering ways of working.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and process management, with experience leading successful compliance and certification efforts and understanding industry standards such as ISO IEC 9001, 25010 and 15504 / SPICE.
  • A passion for engineering excellence, open source, and innovation is essential, as well as excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with engineering leadership to define and execute this vision, establishing strategic relations with external working groups, committees, and partners.

About You

  • You have a strong experience in engineering and process management in an agile environment
  • You love developing and growing people and teams and have a track record of doing it
  • You have led successful compliance and certification efforts, understand well the process and stakeholders management required
  • You have knowledge or certification addressing industry standards such as ISO IEC 9001, 25010 and 15504 / SPICE
  • You worked on successful open source projects known for their demonstrated engineering processes
