Financial Valuation Expert

Job Description:

  • Our ideal candidate will focus on business valuation for various standards and industries, including ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 718/409A, ASC 820, ASC 805, real estate, complex securities, and embedded derivatives.
  • They will analyze historical financial data to explain business trends and identify risks.
  • Additional responsibilities include challenging assumptions related to future financial projections, assisting in the development of discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA, etc.), conducting financial statement analysis, and performing market research.
  • They must construct and review valuation models, assist with report preparation, and present analyses to clients.
  • The right candidate should have experience working closely with other professionals, directing project activity, and providing mentorship as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required; an advanced degree and certifications such as MBA, CA, or CFA would be beneficial.
  • Minimum 2+ years of demonstrated experience in financial valuation theory, methodologies, and traditional valuation methods.
  • They must have a solid understanding of financial databases such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg, as well as strong analytical skills.
  • A track record of managing multiple projects and delivering results under tight deadlines is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial statements and ability to work through key assumptions and limitations are also necessary.
  • Demonstrated technical skills in Excel and ability to travel are preferred.
