We are currently seeking professionals with expertise in research and academia to conduct peer reviews for academic journals.

This is a part-time opportunity that allows for remote work, making it an excellent choice for those who value flexibility.

Please note the specific requirements outlined below.

  • Doctorate PhD or equivalent advanced degree in the relevant subject area is required.
  • A strong publication record, including at least three papers in SCIE/SSCI/A&HCI journals within the past two years.
  • Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.

The selected candidates will be responsible for evaluating manuscripts based on their originality, study design, methodology, literature review, and results. They will also provide constructive feedback to authors.

The position requires:

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.

Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Novelty: Assess whether the manuscript presents new knowledge or insights in the field of study.
  • Study Design and Methodology: Check if the study design and methods are appropriate and clearly described.
  • Literature Review: Ensure the manuscript incorporates relevant and up-to-date research in the field.
  • Analyse Results and Conclusions: Determine if results are presented clearly and conclusions are supported by data.
  • Provide Constructive Feedback: Suggest improvements and highlight flaws or ethical concerns.
  • Recommend Publication: Based on evaluation, decide whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.
