About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research Associate to support our product, market, and technical research initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about gathering and analyzing information, identifying trends, and developing concise summaries that inform business decisions.

The Research Associate will work closely with our cross-functional teams to execute end-to-end research tasks across literature reviews, competitive analysis, data preparation, and model evaluation support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop research plans, identify problem statements, and translate them into actionable research questions and hypotheses.
  • Conduct in-depth literature reviews of academic papers, industry reports, and standards to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in our field.
  • Analyze competitors and adjacent solutions using feature matrices and benchmarks to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Data Analysis

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from trusted sources and public datasets to validate hypotheses and draw meaningful insights.
  • Run structured analyses in spreadsheets or Python/SQL to identify trends and patterns.
  • Assist in evaluation runs for models, prompts, and extraction pipelines, summarizing results and recommendations.

Documentation and Communication

  • Produce high-quality research briefs, one-pagers, and slide summaries, incorporating citations and references.
  • Maintain detailed research logs, assumptions, and references for auditability and transparency.
  • Create engaging visuals such as tables, charts, and process diagrams to illustrate findings and recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Economics) with 2+ years of experience in research, analytics, consulting, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and comfort with pivot tables, basic formulas, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or SQL, preferably with experience in data wrangling and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with ability to produce clear, concise summaries and reports.
