Cloud Native Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced architect to design, implement, and optimize our cloud-native infrastructure. This role will be hands-on with architecture and automation while also providing strategic direction on Kubernetes adoption, DevOps tooling, and cloud-native best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architecture & Strategy: Define the end-to-end architecture for Kubernetes-based workloads in Azure. Design multi-environment, multi-region Kubernetes architectures for high availability and disaster recovery. Establish best practices for container orchestration, scaling, and governance in Kubernetes. Advise on cost optimization strategies for Kubernetes and related Azure resources.
  • Azure & Kubernetes Expertise: Architect and provision Kubernetes clusters with features like cluster and node pool autoscaling, private cluster configuration, network isolation using Azure CNI / Kubenet, managed identities, and Azure AD integration. Integrate Kubernetes with supporting Azure services including Azure Monitor, managed Prometheus & Grafana, Azure Container Registry (ACR), and Azure Key Vault.
  • DevOps & Automation: Design Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for Kubernetes provisioning. Implement GitOps workflows for automated deployments. Define CI/CD architecture using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for Kubernetes workloads.
  • Security & Compliance: Architect RBAC and Azure AD security models for Kubernetes access. Integrate security scanning for container images and Kubernetes workloads. Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks and governance policies.
  • Monitoring, Logging, & Observability: Architect observability solutions using Azure Monitor, managed Prometheus, Container Insights, and Grafana. Establish automated alerting, anomaly detection, and incident response playbooks.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years in DevOps, Cloud Architecture, or related roles.
  • 5+ years hands-on Azure experience, with deep Kubernetes expertise.
  • Strong technical expertise in Kubernetes architecture & troubleshooting, Azure networking (VNet, NSG, Private Link), IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM), and container security and governance.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective Kubernetes solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience with service mesh architectures (Istio, Linkerd, OSM).
  • Familiarity with multi-cluster management tools (Azure Arc, Fleet).
  • Experience in workload migration to Kubernetes.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to lead design workshops and architecture reviews.
  • Strategic problem-solver with hands-on implementation skills.
