Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated data engineer to fill this challenging position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, data architecture, and data integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data processing systems.
  • Develop and deploy ETL processes using tools like Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Work with programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or Scala to develop data pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices and adhering to data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and design data solutions that meet those needs.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
  • MS Power Platform / power apps experience.
  • Cloud DevOps knowledge (e.g. Terraform).
  • Certifications in cloud data technologies (e.g. Azure Data Fundamentals).
