Senior Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to lead our data engineering team.

  • Design and implement large-scale data architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for downstream consumption.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build pipelines to bring in a wide variety of data from multiple sources within the organization as well as from social media and public data sources.
  2. Work closely with clients and team members to understand their requirements and develop architectures that meet their needs.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent problem analysis skills.
  2. Good understanding of cloud-based platforms.
  3. Experience with at least one Cloud Infra provider (Azure/AWS).
  4. Experience in building data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark or Hive query language.
  5. Knowledge of NOSQL databases, Big data ETL processing tools, Data modelling and Data mapping.
  6. Experience with Hive and Hadoop file formats (Avro / Parquet / ORC).
  7. Basic knowledge of scripting (shell / bash).
  8. Experience of working with multiple data sources including relational databases, NoSQL / document databases, flat files.
