Job Description

The Project Land Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading the land acquisition process for wind energy projects. This involves overseeing and managing land acquisition activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to relevant statutes and regulations.

This role requires strong organizational and project management skills, as well as excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in land acquisition, a deep understanding of government policies and regulatory requirements, and a proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead land acquisition activities for wind energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, project management, legal, and finance.
  • Evaluate potential sites for acquisition, prepare valuation reports, and negotiate land acquisition.
  • Ensure adherence to statutes and regulations related to land, forest, and other approvals.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in land acquisition involving revenue/private/forest land.
  • Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in land procurement/acquisition for wind and/or solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
