About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Land Acquisition Specialist to drive our renewable energy projects forward.

This is a critical role in identifying and acquiring suitable land parcels for our initiatives. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders, and have a thorough understanding of land acquisition processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine and secure suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects across India, considering technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.
  • Manage the end-to-end land acquisition process including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL LANDOWNERS, AGENTS, REVENUE OFFICIALS, AUTHORITIES, AND GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS.
  • Conduct title due diligence and ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with legal teams.
  • Oversee Right of Way acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific policies.
  • Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • Monitor land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to ensure cost-effective deals.
  • Supervise a field team of officers, surveyors, and consultants.
  • Resolve conflicts and address any land acquisition issues.
  • Update management on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in land acquisition or a related field
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Indian laws and regulations
