Job Title: Data Scientist

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team.

  1. Job Description
  • The role involves the installation and maintenance of Posit products, ensuring they meet the system requirements for each product (OS, CPU, RAM, disk space).
  • You will also be responsible for verifying that servers have access to necessary repositories and allow for inbound/outbound network traffic as required by each product.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Installation of R: Install the version of R that will be used. Multiple versions can be supported.
  • Installation of Python: Install the version of Python that will be used. Multiple versions can be supported.
  • Installation of Quarto: Install the version of Quarto that will be used. Multiple versions can be supported.
  • Installation of Workbench: Download and install the Posit Workbench package for your OS.
  • Configuration of Workbench: Configure the Workbench through its configuration files (rserver.conf and rsession.conf), setting up users, session management, resource limits, etc.
  • Starting the Service: Start the Workbench service and ensure it runs on startup.
  • Testing: Access the Workbench through a web browser to verify the installation is successful.

Ongoing Maintenance

  • Access the Package Manager through a web browser, configure client R environments to use the Package Manager, and install packages to verify the setup.
