About this role : We are seeking a bright, motivated candidate to join our Procurement team as Associate Manager/ Manager – Procurement. This is a full-time role that will be based at our office.

Responsibilities :

  • Receiving Bills of Material from the Design Department and seeking quotations from all vendors.
  • Making cash flow plans to support projects, including constant updates on costs incurred.
  • Preparing comparative quotations and submitting them to management for decision.
  • Releasing purchase/work orders to vendors with appropriate payment terms and delivery conditions.
  • Following up with the accounts team for release of advances and running payments to vendors as per terms.
  • Ensuring timely material delivery by regular follow-ups with vendors.
  • Following up with vendors for material inspection upon readiness.
  • Following up with vendors and transporters for delivery of materials on time and in good condition.
  • Following up with vendors for invoices.
  • Entering invoices into SAP systems.
  • Providing weekly financial project progress reports to management.
  • Maintaining vendor databases.
  • Ensuring all work, workers, and movement are insured.
  • Supporting Tender/BD teams in costing upcoming projects/tenders.
  • Working out various project requirements related to utilities, procurement activities, and monitoring overall operations for timely completion.
  • Monitoring, implementing, and documenting procurement systems, managing commercial activities, and other related tasks.
  • Liaising with site project management to minimize communication gaps between procurement departments and end-users for timely expedition of materials at project sites.
  • Dealing with vendors, architects, and contractors, and monitoring expenses with optimal resource utilization.
  • Providing management reports and key performance data, and managing relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Maintaining worksheets for payments against orders placed and inventory management.

Qualifications :

  • A graduate, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with 7 to 10 years of experience in procurement.
  • Awareness of products, functions, application parts, and manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and raw materials.
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and Analytics.
