Job Summary

Highly skilled storage experts are sought after to spearhead complex enterprise storage initiatives as trusted advisors and technical authorities. This esteemed role necessitates a deep understanding of multi-vendor storage technologies, proven experience in designing, integrating, and optimizing storage solutions in high-stakes environments.

The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of hands-on storage expertise across multiple vendors, with an emphasis on collaboration and expert counsel provision for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide authoritative storage guidance to Systems Integrations teams during Private Cloud Director deployments with diverse storage backends.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to inform design decisions and troubleshoot intricate storage-related issues.
  • Offer critical storage advice to PreSales engineers during customer solution design, proof-of-concept development, and RFP responses on optimal storage approaches.
Storage Solutions Design & Integration
  • Expertise in backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions is required, encompassing architecture design, implementation strategies, integrations, best practices, and operational patterns.
  • Design and document leading-edge architectures for integrating Private Cloud Director with disparate storage solutions, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, S3, VMware RDM, and other advanced protocols like InfiniBand.
  • Guide and support integrations with vendor-specific storage solutions, ensuring peak performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Participate in solution validation, lab testing, and reference architecture development.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive internal guides for storage-related topics relevant to OpenStack and Private Cloud Director.
  • Create customer-facing documentation and knowledge base articles to enhance deployment success and minimize support escalations.
  • Conduct regular technical enablement sessions for Professional Services, PreSales, and Support teams.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Remain current with evolving storage technologies, protocols, and best practices in cloud infrastructure.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to identify product enhancements that boost storage interoperability and performance.
  • Proactively propose improvements to delivery methodologies for storage integration.
