Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Automation Engineering Specialist is to operate and maintain machinery used in nutraceutical manufacturing, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment requires routine equipment checks to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Monitoring machine operating data, production outputs, and downtime logs accurately is crucial for quality control.

Recording material feeding, changeovers, and line clearance as per requirements ensures productivity and efficiency.

Efficiently resolving equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or abnormalities promptly is critical for minimizing disruptions.

Supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities with the engineering team enhances overall plant performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in machinery rectification/maintenance within Nutraceuticals, Food Manufacturing, or Pharmaceuticals is necessary.

Hands-on experience with blending, granulation, encapsulation, filling, or packaging machines is required. Familiarity with food technology processes (mixing, drying) is also essential.

A strong understanding of machine operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting is vital. Knowledge of food safety, quality control, and hygienic practices is also required.

Familiarity with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and regulatory guidelines (FSSAI/ISO) is necessary. Ability to conduct and document in-process checks accurately is crucial.

Benefits

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (B.Tech preferred) is desirable.

Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO 22000 is an added advantage.

Experience in supporting product development or scale-up trials is also beneficial.

Knowledge of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting is necessary.
